Received the engine covers from crouchyuk today. I can tell you that they look and feel every bit as good as the photos. Well done, Paul, I think you will be a tad busy in the future. I'll be back!

Dave's coming over later and the teaspoons were in a terrible state. Obvious solution!

You have spent thousands on a piece of state of the art equipment and you are cleaning tea spoons in it so you and your woolly hatted apprentice can have a nicer cuppa? How'd you like to have a crack at these instead?

Unsure what it is - just stale fuel but the absolute worst I have seen.......the stench is still evident up one's nostrils more than two hours after you have put them down. These bowls have had their drainage nipples broken off which is a real shame as on the outside they look real tidy......sadly only fit for the bin now.

Spruced up a very nice set of Dream 250 barrels yesterday. I'm not sure I would spray these silver now, as the peened finish should last better on a bike. NOS barrels come bare casting. I have the matching pistons from the bores so with just new rings will make a good engine refurb kit. Note that the earlier 250T cylinder base is without the dreaded slots between camchain tunnel and headbolt holes, so no special rubber sleeved bolts required....

That barrel is a really top notch job, I had a really good look at it last night, when on a flying visit to Brigg. If I had needed one it would be sat in my shed right now.

I can assure you it doesn't taste like it. Also, when the missus got home, she could tell they'd been in the dishwasher......an uncomfortable moment ensued.

(Only the bowls though as I decided to keep them for now so the floats are not left exposed).
