Not sure that's wise Nick? but I bow to your greater experience.

To be honest I initially found this entertaining, but reading the latest posts this has obviously opened old wounds and I think you should now let it be and move on. Possibly right - if people really are offended by it, I am happy to remove it. The oddest thing I find of late though is the actions of the person who took the most umbrage. I trust your judgement mate, so whatever you decide is fine by me

I came in at the end of the old forum, a couple of months and it was gone, never really understood why, just don't want history to repeat itself, I love this forum and so do many others.

I joined the old forum a few weeks before it went bang and was left wondering what the hell had happened and where the forum had gone,so for me this thread has thrown some light on what happened.
My vote is Yes

I haven't taken umbrage, I contacted Steve, who is admin, aired my view in private with him and he opened it for discussion on here. This really doesn't rate highly on my list of things to give a shit about.

It's no secret what happened he could not find any body to part with there cash for the site and through the Teddy out the cot .why do you think I am offended by this thread. There are only a small number ho were involved with the policy's and the running of the old site so unable to comment but at the end it was not a happy forum.why do you think for this forum to move on we need your interpretation of the events that ruined the old site or am I missing something .why don't we stick to the bikes on this forum and not the politics

Darren - I am sorry to say that I'm done with you. I am totally past the point of trying to work you out of late and I do not see the need for us to converse now or at any time in the future - simply no point. It was nice knowing you before......but that's not the guy who is here now. As for not giving a sh*t then perhaps you should not frequent the forum any longer if it only upsets you. Just a suggestion.
Mark - We were two years old. And I was telling a story of how we got here. It is not about politics......please get over yourself.
I wish to ask one member who lived through it all if the story should stop here or continue - this is someone I trust 100%. Terry......would you mind? You are someone who has always been impartial and I trust you 100%...whatever you think will go my mate. Please do this for me.

Just to bolster what Steve has already said. History will never repeat itself as it did with the old site. This is not about two admins at each others throats.
This forum is here to stay - everyone can be rest assured of that. You have my word 100%.

That's your prerogative Nick.
OK, let's get a few of the finer details of this "timeline" correct... Shane was an opportunist (fact) and also a thief (fact), but he also knew how to run a forum. Things were great until Shane and Nick fell out due to egos. Shane knew what worked and Nick changed lots on the forum in order to "keep things fresh". Although Nick had been told to do what he liked, the changes caused a split opinion between members as some didn't like change (as proved on here too). When Shane decided to "take it all back", Nick spat out his dummy and things then got worse between them. Anybody who tried to mediate between them got banned by shane, then anyone who showed an opinion also got banned etc etc... Members stopped posting and the site went in and out of maintenance mode until eventually Shane pressed the button and ended it all.
The reason I spoke to Admin here is because all this happened in the past, it's cringe worthy reading this thread when you know why the old forum shut down and one of the instigators is telling a one sided story, especially when the other one can't put his side to it.
This is supposed to be a refuge from everyday bullshit so why bring this up 2 years later. Suck it up and move on.

My oppinion is leave the old forum where it is forgotton but if you want to talk about the birth of this forum then yes I'm ok with that but skip the Rebel site as much as possible as that too was full of back biting as well ,start again with Steve forming this forum " just in case " they were good times
