Great looking bike Ian - be very interested once you have ridden the bike for a bit your view on comparison with the Interceptor

Yes, I'll leave that a bit Pete as I'm still running it in so can't really compare properly. I do know it's more comfortable for me than the Interceptor, it's more compact & lighter and the seat height is less so I can get my feet down flat & the footpegs don't get in the way when I'm paddling it about. I'm not mad on all the matt black - handlebars, forks, mirrors, engine, exhaust etc, but at least it means less polishing. And, while I prefer the look of spoked wheels, cast wheels are easier to clean & plug in the event of a puncture. First service id booked in a couple of weeks & it should be run in by then so I'll have a better idea of performance.

Great looking bike Ian - be very interested once you have ridden the bike for a bit your view on comparison with the Interceptor With around 7 to 9 hundred miles on the clock, I was still limited to 50mph on our Lake District trip, although I did go up to 60mph on a couple of overtakes, the performance is going to be fine for me. It's obviously not as fast as the 650s, but I don't go over about 70 anyway - too much wind blast on a naked bike - and it will pull that easily. IT won't have the acceleration of the 650s either, but it's enough for any overtakes I would try. All in all, I'm really pleased with it - haven't been on the 650GT for a while One thing I would like to improve is the suspension - my trip to the Lakes was smoother on the Superdream. Anyone done anything with the suspension on their 350? Think I'll also go down a similar route to Bojer with the gear change, moving it just one spline on the shaft is still too course an adjustment to get it just right.

Pleased to hear you are happy with yours Ian . I'm up to about 850 miles on mine now and it runs along nicely - fast enough for my local roads . Its very usable being quite a little bike , handy to just pop out to the shops on yet I find it comfy on longer rides too .
I'm on the MK3 gear lever linkage now.....the MK1 with the ball joints as shown fouled the sidestand switch and with the ball joint repositioned the otherside of the lever worked at an angle so looked odd even if it worked ok . So MK2 had a dog leg put into the rod , bit of a cheat really so I now bought rose joints that have a lower profile and will fit on the inside of the lever and not get in the way of the switch . I used 6mm stainless bar and matching ends , all RH threads so adjustment has to involve removing one end but no hardship and saves buying a LH die !
I'm ok with the rear shocks and they damp out the Fenland roads well but I'll be 15.5 St in my riding gear and can undestand the back end is a bit stiff, some people do reckon it softens off over time - or they get used to it !

You've said pretty much what I've found Ian, fast enough for the roads I like to ride on & very easy to handle with low seat & the weight and very comfortable. I'll just see how it goes with the suspension, it's not something I know anything about so if I start swapping springs or shocks I could make it worse. I'd set the gear lever height with my winter boots & now I've changed to a lighter summer pair, it's a bit low. I'll make do with putting it up a click for now while I sort out some parts to make the link rod adjustable.
