We keep those blanking plugs and they are a lot cheaper than those on ebay, if anyone wants to try one I can post one over.

*groan* have you fin-ished with the fish puns yet? I posted a link to a nut and bolt supplier. Annoyingly, it wasn't the really helpful ones who soled me an M20 1.5 for the CBR alternator, but a bunch who sold me some furniture bolts. possibly useful if you want to fit a sideboard to it...

Got the electrical collet and plug from Harold this morning, many thanks for getting them too me! The plug seemed to be right st the point of bottoming out so wasn't sure if it was going to work so tried the brass collar thingy. brass thing worked well, tightened it in then went round the rotor with the dead blow hammer, checked the brass collar again and the torque was less so tightened again and hammered again. 3rd tighten of the collar and the rotor came right off

I'm glad it worked for you Alex and it's certainly a cheaper option than the £21.00 specialist tool ?

Unloaded the clutch springs and got to the next 'special tool' issue... clutch basket nut removal tool, i.e. 24mm socket ground down to 4 castelations, need the get the grinder out.
