Been after a MK1 ever since I owned a 1998 model back in the day. I picked this up from Bognor Regis last Sunday. 9k miles and one of the first, registered spring 1995. This one needs some tidying - the pictures flatter it. The good thing is, the bits are out there to make it really nice again. I own a MK2 these days as well - a fantastic bike. But something pulled me back to the rawness of the original.......the sound I think I wonder if anyone owned one of these in the mid to late 1990's?

One of the beautiful points of the Bandit......those four glorious headers coming out of the engine......polished with that heat affected light bronze look.... A minger of a view at the minute. Looking forward to polishing up those pipes, renewing those ugly header studs and replacing or refurbing the oil cooler pipes for drab olive items...(among other things). And yes.....no oil cooler guard evident. It's in the bag.

Curiously only the first year of production got holes right through on this sprocket cover. Confusing as it is, the 'S' was the naked version from 1995 although the GSF600 'S' is well understood to be the half faired version.

Their purpose is to stop zips and belt buckles scratching your paint epecially if the rider has a bit of a belly they were just plain to match the colour of your tank but they just kept getting fancier this is mine
