check out the difference between the two, the 8mm hex at the bottom is what you sent me ian. what do you think. also made these today, can you guess what they are for?

The ends on the bleed nipple look right for the 250 nipple Steve, that's what mine is like with the flat bottom on the taper.

these are the 8mm thread for the 400n dave, the way i have done them would make it easier to bleed the system.
whats your opinion?

Yes Steve I think it would be easier to bleed with yours. My 8mm nos 400 nipples have a pointed taper Steve but the 7mm on my 250 have the flat bottom like your photo. I wonder if the one from ian is an original or an aftermarket one?

Defo aftermarket, it was just a universal 8mm bleed screw. I would prefer a 10mm hex - more positive & I can never seem to find an 8mm spanner Wouldn't mind some of those cam cover bolts Steve, when you get into production, & i could also do with another gear lever linkage rod if you have any left?

ok harold, you have noticed i have extended the hexagon head a bit, less chance of it slipping when you tighten it.
