The other site.......
Just don't want the bad feeling from there to get to here mate so we are trying to keep it to a minimum. That said we don't want do delete stuff and try and sweep the crap under the carpet - then have it explode into a huge poo storm in a few months time so we will try and be as straight as possible.
The last site 'runner' upset me and a few others possibly because (although he owned a Superdream at one stage) was never really into them. His only real desire was getting as many members as possible (like you and me) on that site then trying to sell it. When he realised he couldn't sell it, things turned nasty.
I don't want to go deeper, but that is the bare bones of it. The bloke is probably an okay geezer (I've met him once and now wish him no harm as I'm with real enthusiasts again) but as far as Honda Superdreams go the interest and knowledge he has is quite limited. Also the fact he banned a lot of us and tried to control us has not gone down well at all!!! You just do not do that.
That's it!!!!
Happy to move on, build the future here and let bygones be bygones. Life is too short not to.

Andy - by the way.
What did you do with that lovely original alloy number plate with plastic raised digits?

ahh the nmber plate,I have kept it along with the 1985 tax disc and holder,I did think of cleaning them up and chroming the holder but decided against it,i think they add to the character of the bike. Also I didn't think you could sell a free forum, it is supposed to be a meeting place for like minded people to share knowledge / information experiences etc and not a business venture, that sort of defeats the object of the essence of a forum, but who am i to judge.

Croming came to about 250,polishing was about 100 and powder coat and polish wheels was 100, He does like you to show him the parts before he prices the job and it does take a few weeks as he's always busy. when i was there i saw ducati and fireblade frames, jensen interceptor, old mercedes,mg,triumph and i think some aston martin bits, his prices are fair and he's a really nice bloke.
