Just noticed you have a cracking shine on those rims was that just sanding and solvol ?

Welcome Andy - so glad you have now joined us!!!!
Just seen current pics of your bike and she is looking astounding. Considering I thought it was once beyond repair (I used a pic of it recently in my 'undercover duluxe thread') you have really done an excellent job.
I'm glad you also got the down pipe issue sorted out.
Please upload more pics as soon as you can.

 this is the garage I built in the back garden 3 years ago,i have restored a few old mercedes aswell so needed somewhere to do it,22 foot by 16 foot,i can fit 2 s class mercs in it,cost me 4500 quid complete inc full electrics and air with electric door opener,looks more used now though |

I had the rims powder coated and the lips polished by the same guy who did the chrome and polishing,charged me 100 quid for the pair,i did loose the silver flat face on the pressed part of the rim but I think they still look ok
