Does sound like carbs to me... However, have you checked fuel filter not clogged? If you disconnect fuel line from the tap, then switch tap to "on" (with summut under it to catch the fuel), does petrol come out freely enough? Just to check the easiest thing before whizzing carbs off! Probably worthwhile checking air filter too.

Carbs are a nightmare to sort especially as she was stood for so long.
Have you had them looked at and set up by a pro ?

Oh yes.....
I always found it strange that they were 'damaged' in post - then rendered useless...
Very odd mate.

There will be rust in those carbs or hardened fuel mate, mark my words.
You may have to look for another set if you cant get them running properly.
You could try the bloke behind Chas Mann. Has the workshop there, or he did a few years back. Kings Norton.

I think a lot of us have been there with these carbs at some stage.
Good luck and don't get disheartened.
When I had a CB250N that had been standing since 1989 (I got her in 2007), I had the carbs off around twenty times - then replaced them in the end.
At least your set have got the factory set float heights - the earlier ones don't and they can be even more of a ball ache.
