hello nick, a bit from the rocker gasket and a bit from the oil filter housing,i bought a complete gasket set so i have the oil filter housing gasket and the rocker gasket,and a trusty tube of gasket sealer

i do hope so,the bike ran for half an hour,but then fuel appeared to dry up,plugs were dry,so put air line through carbs then they leaked bummer!!

planned to remove carbs today,got sidetracked with the electrics,tidied them up,re-fixed to fuse board and strapped into place,sorted out a dodgy earth aswell,so not a bad evenings tinkering.

I managed to crack one of the indicators,the battery is shot (brand new M+P) and a couple of touch ups required,but its ready for MOT!!, starts and runs fine on a jump start,i do get an occasion trickle from carbs though.

took it for mot...................failed on ; reg plate too small no return spring on rear brake headlight bulb upside down and it wouldn't start so I have ; put the 1982 reg plate on fitted rear brake return spring put the headlight bulb in the right way up bought a new battery so its fingers crossed for tomorrow.

added it to my K1200 policy for the princely sum of ..£44 , 25 of which is admin fee , will tax it tomorrow once the mot is done....well thats the plan

didn't get to take it for mot,brand new fully charged exide 12a-a battery,still won't fire,plugs dry,got spark,starts off a bump,ticks over,flat spot at 5000 rpm,then sometimes cuts out on tick over,then won't fire,then starts off bump. any ideas gents ? i think its carbs off....again
