I used to look after all the NHS properties on the west coast and used to fly back and forth regularly on the little britten norton islanders, 8 seats including the two up front where the pilot sat. They are seriously bouncy in bad weather and VFR only. I even sat once beside the pilot and had the stick and rudder moving about the while in flight with the stern injunction "don't touch anything" Since they were scheduled flight higher than normal winds on the islands made the takeoffs and landings interesting in cross winds I don't get travel sickness but some of my staff did and they hated those flights, I loved them. Its a C11G with plunger suspension, the one pictured is the one I had, a 1954 model. I do miss that bike as it was great fun.

The link came up with a sign in page so, no. However the limiting factor is not availability of bikes, I could acquire every bike I wanted tomorrow if I had two things. Enough spare cash and the co-operation, read permission, of my better half. The very bike in the pictures has come up for sale twice in the last few years but at considerably more than I sold it for

yep know exactly what you mean after still failing to get yb100 to start again decided to finish c90 upgrade to 97cc a simple top end rebuild as I had collected all the necessary parts from Mr Honda (thicker studs, nuts, washers, dowels and Astrea gasket set)and a Jap piston and rings and a new 50mm(47mm STD)barrel from Taiwan. All was going well till I slid the barrel over the rings and got it stuck going into crankcase. Now this is not supposed to happen as the 50mm barrel should slide straight in. Seems in my quest to buy the best quality the barrel is made from thicker material than the discontinued Honda item and I'm going to have to widen the crankcase mouth which means full engine rebuild to clean out the mess. The wife's comment was "but that's what you like doing" you know she could be right.

Just what I could do with. More room and better lights I had fitted LED strip lights into my shed, 3 of them, I will get another 2 for nearer the door. Silly me, the door was open, during the day when I was thinking about how many I needed, I thought to myself, seems bright enough down there (by the door)....duh!

Put together the clarke grinder stand I had but since it was so wobbly decided to bin the clamp bolts and weld it together, just awaiting the paint drying and it can be bolted down and the polisher mounted ready to start doing the forks and engine cases. My welds never look pretty but they seem to always be solid.
