Wee Bobby and myself managed to get one side of the shed gyproc'd on Sunday, all was going well until this morning.
We have had some windy wild weather in Scotland so far and last night was no different, well, so I thought.
On entering the shed, two roof leaks, it hasn't leaked all year and now it does.
A good omen in a way, had we the drier weather in the past 2 months, the shed would be insulated by now and the leaks not noticed until it had damaged more internal stuff...aye thats the good omen.
This Friday I am up on the roof with Bitchofaman sealing the roof that I was told wouldn't need it and Rona re-sealing the shed with the new dark green timber paint I bought.
It will get there, eventually, just ever so slowly.
I will update with pics at a later time.
Cheers.
Gee.

I once had a break pad break away from the pad holder on a set of Armstrong pads, trying to think what bike I had, only on one side thankfully and not braking too much, coming down to a roundabout and I was turning left anyway, but it did pull to the left, another thankfully, and not into on coming traffic.
My RF900 I remember it now....btw...new pads, not old ones.
Phew.

well gave the press its big test today replacing the front hub carrier bearings on the daughters fiesta they are a big bearing .the drivers side was not much of a test the bearing came out with ease.but the pass enger side was a different matter that press frame was making some strange noises and even extended the jack handle i gave it as much as i there.so i left it on load and started on another job then there was a big bang and the bearing had shattered one way of getting it out .the press is supposingly 20 ton and i believe every one was on bored new bearings pressed in no problem.for the cost and the use i will give it it as been a good buy

How did you get the bike on the stand? Through the door?

Well that picture has planted an idea for me - hoist the bike & assemble the stand underneath it. Mind you, I'll have to clear all the junk from the garage 'loft' before the straining joists would take the additional weight of a SD

Thanks Duffer and yes the comfort is ok, I have heating, music and it is apart of the house and not far from the coffee machine. It is small, 10 m2, and I have three bikes in there so I have to keep it tidy. About the oil, I have a piece of industrial carpet, can take any chemical and is very easy to clean with a rag and some kerosene.

Still working on the Spitfire sorting out all the niggles, fitted a new battery to the Yam today and awaiting a whole pile of oil/plugs/filters and batteries to carry out all the winter servicing on all the bikes over the winter. The only problem is I need a hour of the big heater going these days to get the temp up to something tolerable to work out there, the next house the workshop is going to have to be attached to the house and connected to its central heating

This is what I have been working on in the shed just lately. The wiring on my CB450DX, new loom and a Motogadget control box. Its also got a new voltage regulator as I will be running a Lithium battery. I will be using a Dyna ignition coil for the spark. The back end is made in foam and ready for carbon fibre to be wet laid over the top. Hopefully it will come out ok. Front end has the framework for the fairing and the new Motogadget dial. To cold unfortunately to lay the carbon which is a pain so it will need to wait a while for it to warm up.
