4.4's? thats a bit naff. any decent hardware shop generally stocks 8.8's as standard, still I suppose thats how they build them down to a price

well the press came today all built up and christened ,This is my opinion of this press well at £125 delivered i was not expecting top quality and it is not, i got the 20 ton because i knew it would be exaggerated and was not wrong.the clark one that i am compairing it with is £300 more .the gauge of steel is thinner 4.4 fasteners the clark 8.8 .it would be nice to be higher.but fore the cost i can adapt to suit my needs and works fine.i just do not need a higher spec one for what i want and made a little job today a lot easier Pretty much my way of thinking for when I take the plunge. Thanks for posting the info, it's appreciated.
I have been looking at new compressors and most only quote the air displacement something that's always annoyed me little. The FAD on a belt drive is about a third less than the quoted figure but can be a little over half with the direct drives. For my useage it will need to be able to run my air tools and do a bit of spraying. I don't want to go lower than a 50L tank but am undecided as to portability. I don't need it to pump up tyres as I have a re-chargeable one for that and am not expecting to change any tyres. I have a friend with a garage that has the equipment to do this. Cars are another little hobby of mine.

Whilst the end results of each job are rewarding......I must say I have decided I hate working on this bike, but then that can probably be said of every bike one works on for the first time..........if I had a swear box set aside, I'd be able to buy a decent 250 Superdream with the proceeds....no joke. Nothing is rusted or twisted......just the design, odd in so many ways (I mean quirky).

Nice.
I need a BSA back in my life. My biggest regret was having to sell my B18 when the (now very ex) wife ran up a load of debt without me knowing. My Dad got it in the early sixties by swapping an electric drill for it. During the divorce I went to get my photos and she had thrown everything away so don't even have a picture. It was worse as I had family photos there too that can never be replaced.
So if anybody knows of a B18 Light de Luxe for sale, let me know, although it will probably be to expensive! I know the reg, TG 9726, is now on an orange diesel Dacia.

Most bikers I know love it. Very like a bike in that it leans around corners has an air cooled engine, you can use it from a field or tarmac and it helps to be able to fix it yourself. Must admit it is great to have a day out to the Isle of man TT. Just one hour from Nantwich to Ronaldsway Airport. Best of both worlds ! Oh, and EVERY biker i have taken can fly it themselves within 5 minutes. 👍🤪

You do need to trust your spanner work (Yes, you do it yourself) when you are half way over the Irish sea towards the Isle of Man and your arse suggests that the engine just dropped just 50rpm when you never touched the throttle. Over good old dry land it may do it all the time and you never notice,(and it is normal) but when you are outside of gliding range from the coast your back-side does take over from the tachometer ! Mind you, if you are in LA, I suspect you didn't sail there. And these days they fly the Atlantic on just two engines...... just a thought. Perhaps you adopt the Father Ted approach......DRINK !!! (Not an option for me coz I'm drivin)

I also, looking for the earlier version of this bike plus also I want one o these again, this was the best motorcycle I ever owned as far as fun to cost is concerned, the only bike I have ever wished I had not sold.

And these days they fly the Atlantic on just two engines...... j No certainly did not sail here but I am a bit like Mr T from the A Team......they have to sedate me. Joking aside, I am okay on big planes, in fact the bigger the better. J'know, once I was on an A380 and no word of a lie, I did not even feel the thing take off. I said to the wife (after dozing off on the runway) why is it taking so long to get in the air, is there a problem? She looked at me as if I was totally barking. Worst plane (and smallest) I have been on was one of those Fly-Be Turbo Prop jobs.......awful awful experience.
