I’m looking for something 650cc plus really. I have a great little Nighthawk 450 which has enough in it for me but for two up I’d like a bit more go. how about suzuki’s gsx range, must be a load about out there and in their day there were shed loads of decent pipes available for them. just a thought

This caught my eye locally on a classifieds site, looks in really good order.

Truth be told they are all decent bikes.....but nothing wrong with a bit of brand rivalry.
How's your recent acquisition (Yamaha Muscle Bike) ?

Seller says “32k on the clock, it hasn’t been run for a while. Two carbs leaking and slight oil leak. Will run off the easy start”. There’s a lot out here like this. Extreme lack of use. Probably an easy sort out but I just want to get something to jump on and ride, I already have my project bike here. Looking at this today, it’s within budget.....not exactly a classic yet but there is a blood line. Think this uses the F2N engine (UK model) but could be wrong.

Very true I just love the banter, they are all good it’s just personal choice on styling, I like to see the engine and I don’t know why but the Suzuki engine has closer fins compared to Honda and Yam that’s my main reason for not admiring many Suzuki’s. Hope that makes sense 🤔

It does but as you say, it's personal taste. I love the way the top of that particular Suzi engine looks with the large ribbed valve cover. I have always admired the Bandit engine (GSXR). I certainly see more beauty in it than the engine in the lower picture. We are all different which is great.

I just had another read through the dmv forms in your restoration thread (and I thought dvla could be difficult) just to check if its compulsory to have a king and queen seat on a bike in california?
