My mate was picking his brand new 67 plate triumph today at bridge motorcycles in Exeter, I told him I would meet him there & he was quite shocked when I turned up on the Superdream had a few good comments from other bikers while I was there.

Don't tell your mate Rich but I know which one I would take home and it's not white😉 They just seem to try and put as many angles on these new bikes and if you painted them all the same you could not tell what manufacture they were that's just my opinion😳

.....at least the SD looks like a bike
Just think modern motorcycles look like a plastic bike that has melted in the Sun
If I was buying a new bike probably Ducati Scrambler as it has that traditional tank

Funny twenty years ago I would scan MCN or the likes for which of the new bikes I wanted to buy next - just not interested in new now largely .

I'm sure it's nice to have a brand new bike, but it needed to happen before the 1990's! The Herald and Mutt 250's look fun but I would be worried about longevity

I disagree I think that there are a greater number of diverse choices among new bikes than there was 30 - 40 years ago. To say they all look the same is simply not true, there are sportsbikes, adventure, touring, retro, naked the list goes on. I know we all like classic bikes here but just remember today's new bike is tomorrows classic, how many people would have said of the Superdream when new "That's going to be a future classic" ? I wish your friend good luck with his new bike Dicky.

+4 for the Superdream.
Many new bikes look bland and uninteresting.....for me the design has now got a bit too odd looking, especially the rear ends.
Totally get the point from Harold about them becoming future classics possibly......but are these machines being built in a golden era of biking? The short and sharp answer is 'no'.

And to top it off Honda have now axed the CBR600 this year after 30 odd years due to 'tighter emission legislation'.
Enough said.

The 600s been axed as no one buys them anymore the markets dead. So it isn't worth them updating to the new laws. Look at how many supersports have been registered in recent years. The numbers arnt there. Shame really as I much prefer the smaller 600s to the 1000s. I have an old 600 trackbike myself

If I was looking for a new bike now it would be a Norton 961.
But again, it's a bike that points at the past - but with a modern twist.
