Yes Dave, Peugeot 104 to be exact, inline flat four, on its side "Pistons to the left of me crankshaft on the right"

wasn't quite flat Jonny it was 72degrees I passed my test in my granddads and it was a load of crap it ate through 2 camshafts before it reached 30,000 miles

True for the 104, BMW massively improved the engine for the K, and flattened it, 100K is not unusual for a K.
