The engine was de greased and painted with aluminium heat resistant paint. The covers I took a lot of time polishing them by hand using different wet and dry papers and a great deal of solvol autosol.....I will change the front mudguard for one from David Silver as soon as I have £150 spare...Then that is is I think just a matter of maintaining and looking after it....

I got the paint off ebay . its high temp aluminium paint in a 500ml tin and cost around £8. you have to make sure the engine is free of any oil or grease or it will not stick. I used clutch and brake cleaner and it worked really well for me.
