Seem to have bought another Honda twin , is there really no hope for me ? I'd been doing so well too , cleansed my soul , garage and bookshelves of anything SD related and then this happens .............I get caught up with Janis' younger twin disced (Sp?) flashier dressing sister , she's got a few miles on the clock and been around a bit but there's life in the old dog yet . Pray for me.......

Had to evict Mrs Boj from the PC , she wasn't happy as was playing crossword games , she'll be less happy when she finds out why I needed the PC . Luckily she's gone to bed now , gives me time to be inventive .....trip to the seaside ? , oh shall we go in a van , more room for sandwiches ,ah look an orphaned motorcycle ... think it'd work ? No me neither , oh well , straightforward pleading it is then

Er, yes it seems I have FB , not a true SD it has to be said, a CB350SG . Back in the day after a SD or two I always found them strangely appealing ☺ . Bit more brakes & power than the 250 and nowadays for a fraction of the cost of a genuine SD too .

Nice little bikes - always liked the red frame on these.

There is more than an element of truth in what you say Fordy .......... Not worked that out yet FB , Land Rover and camping trailer , hire a van or get a courier if the seller would be happy with it ( he says he wants cash on collection) . I usually enjoy the trip out to get a new bike , part of the "buying experience" but just handing over £100 and have it delivered to my door is easy ....

One of the joys of getting bargains is the journey collecting them, don't go courier get a train and take your Harley D plate for good luck 😜

I love the bringing them back bit. Been to Sunderland and Hull within the past year.
Northern Ireland was a bit far in the end though - annoying when water gets in the way - having my latest acquisition couriered over - it should land on Tue.

Despite Carls excellent suggestion I picked the CB up today in a hired van - took something like 3 hours each way , M1 , M25 , M23 ,A23 etc slow going , glad I don't have to do that often ! But pleasant enough to be "truckin'" along with no particular schedule to meet . Bike is much as described and as it looked in the Ebay ad , largely original with bodywork apparently in decent condition but showing its age and 40,000 miles of use . Runs smoothly but sounds like it could do with a cam chain ...... Which as with a lot of old bikes is not as simple as it should be and has accounted for a lowering of my initial enthusiasm , it doesn't take much . The issue is the infamous front engine bolt which has probably not moved in the last 30 years and shows no signs of wanting to now . Then the front discs look a bit thin and are quite pricey new , good chance I underbought here I think , so need to decide what direction to take , bite the bullet and sink more into it than I've bought it for or cut my losses and sell on . Not a biggie at the price paid but as usual I could have managed quite well without it . Where's Chris AKA SRX600 bet he could do with some spares.........?
