Welcome back to Blighty young chap!!!
Nice to see a bit of fettling - was taking a squint at my CBR today.....jotting down what needs doing / replacing etc. When I realised I had filled an A4 writing pad I thought I had better have a lie down! No matter, it is something I want to do and will sort out a thread to document the madness soon.
Yours is looking might fine young FB - think I will turn up un-announced for a white-glove inspection when the sun deems to put in an appearance....

I'm happy with her now, Carl......are you pleased with your new purchase btw? IIRC, a similar vintage to this one albeit the 1000cc model? Honda build quality was good at this time.......the year of the first RR-N Fireblade.....legend.

Quite a few similarities between the 600 and the 1000 - indicators on the rear for a start are the same!!! And still available from DS as are the fronts for mine (thank goodness!!). Yes, I am very happy with the 1000. As said, needs a fair bit of work - OK, needs a complete rebuild to satisfy me - but then I thought that might be the case anyway. I wont be putting it back to 'factory' as some parts are NLA - graphics particularly - but she will be pukka by the time I am finished with her. Quite a few of the fastenings and bolts are missing so I will procure a full stainless nut and bolt set to replace everything and all the ally parts as well as wheels, frame components carbs etc, etc, etc. will be sent away for blasting and painting where required. I have found someone in Poland that produces replica top fairings for these so one will be on its way soon and I will see how the rest of the bodywork fairs once it is removed. The whole bike will be repainted and I will most likely go for a complete black scheme with minimal graphics in gold. Something like this: GB
