Driving through S-U-A earlier today I passed an 04 plate Polo parked on the kerb with its front offside tyre noticeably flat. The lady looked distressed standing next to it, mobile in hand. I was a bit tight for time but as I got to the ring road I though no, sod it, I'll go and see if I can help. I circumnavigated the ring road and then pulled up behind her.
To cut a long story short I had her spare tyre on within ten minutes and she was on her way.
Have you ever helped a random stranger in any way shape or form? If so, tell us the story.

When my DT400MX sheared its woodruff key I helped a random stranger load it into the back of his van and gave him directions to bring us home , does that count FB 27 years ago going home at 4:00am after seeing my daughter born I helped a chap out his car he had put through a hedge and took him home . Riding in the mountains near Granada I had a the valve pull out of my rear tyre , puncture kit no good but a local despite having about three words in common between us took me for what was probably the most scary pillion ride ever into the local village to buy a tube and then helped me push the bike to his house to change it . Hang on think I need to think of some more "help" I've given to balance it up ...... I have done a couple of wheel changes for car drivers also pushed one or two out of the way as they had just left their car where it stopped in dodgy positions while they wait for their breakdown company . Think I seemed to do more "roadside rescues" in the days before mobile phones and everyone having breakdown cover ?

I helped a tramp into the Wilton pub through the back room window, this was in the seventies and I was just a lad .I sat him in the corner and got him pissed and this was after the landlord had thrown him out once The tramp said it was the best night out he'd had in twenty years ,does that count

I was delivering my post in a rural lane a few years ago in my postie van & was flagged down by a young 18 ish lad covered in mud.
I wound my window down & he said "please could you help mate I've got my car stuck in mud in the field" I looked into the field he was pointing to & about 25 feet into the field was his 106 with its front wheels sunk in the mud surrounded by a few other teenagers, I said "sorry mate I've got no way of getting you out" I advised him the farmer who owned the field was prob going to shoot him for ripping up his field. I went on my way & about ten mins later I was delivering to a farm shop & I asked the boss If he had a very long piece of rope which he did, so I drove back to the lads they were desperately trying to push the car back to firm ground.
The lads faces lit up when I walked over to them with the rope ! It was just long enough for me to keep my wheels on Tarmac & I managed to tow them out of field ! Talk about grateful they were very thankful, the farmer who owned the field is in fact a decent bloke who would of towed them out if he saw them in there but it gave them a bit of time crapping themselves if the farmer drove by.
I suppose it reminded of me of my youth I think we have all done daft stuff when growing up.

I remember walking round my local town, when I saw someone slumped in a doorway so I went over to see if he was OK, I knew the guy but not terribly well. He said he had been out with some mates who had buggered of and left him. So I went round and got my van managed to get him bundled in to the passenger seat and took him up home. He had asked me to be quiet so the wife wouldn't hear us coming in but then proceeded to blunder through the house knocking things over, when his wife appeared, shouting I made my excuses and left

I gave someone a push in their mini a few weeks back to bump start it 👍 Old Mini or new? I have a romantic scene in my head of it being a black 1275GT with gold pin striping down the doors - almost a John Player Special type of colour scheme. The year is 1983. Spandau Ballet plays out through the woman's Pye Radio Cassette.
