Did you keep the County Tyrone number on it? I did at first (after a DVLA cock up) but decided to put a personalized plate on her in 2014.....she's the one on the left:

Coils replaced on this old banger today.....still not sparking on the RHS plug when warm. Think it is obvious now what the problem may be.

MOT booked for 11:00am sharp in the morning on my banger. Forecast is wet here in CV37 tomorrow.....but this time I'm not worried about the bike getting a little damp - but me getting soaked. It will be COLD and WET.....so I wonder if I will bottle it? Remember - the bike is not currently running right so it's all going to be a bit of a risk as the MOT station is at least 10 miles away from here. Charging the battery, topping the fuel with BPU and doing the tyre pressures. Here's hoping for some good luck tomoz.

I had every confidence you would , how's the running , both cylinders now ?! Yeah - I replaced the pick up coils a month or three ago - this seemed to sort out the hot running issue. I also replaced the clutch 'safety cut out' switch and a few other things. At 360 sovs I still think that this was a late summer ebay bargain.

I find all bikes are going up in value, because the price of new is getting really silly. I paid £400 for the cb350sg and £100 for the sr50...Which is more the money I like to pay lol.. But Cheap is never cheap as it turns out their is always some work to do..

You could be right, Chris. Can't believe I picked up a 5,500 mile Bandit in 2013 for £1500. I don't think this would happen now.
Interest in bikes seems to be growing again. And what you've mentioned is probably driving it.

The only exception to the new rule is the honda cb500. Where you have to borrow the money say... With the finance deals they seem to make more sense to buy new then second hand. Look at an old 1997 cb500 they want £1000 for it with 45K on the clock? In my book that's going to be pretty knackered in some way or another. You may have to spend £500 just to sort it out ( worst case ) min its going to need a good service. Plus they are rubbish on fuel when compared to the new one.. Even the newer model is going to be £3k ish.. So you get a £3K loan or go for new on 0% finance, not much difference monthly, They even do the PCP deals which are even cheaper monthly..Which makes riding around on 20yr old bike a bit of a joke.
Not been looking at other models so this could be the same, but if they ask for a silly deposit then I'd think twice...
