October1996 in Hull on yamaha sr125. I never bothered when I was a young un,just had small bikes then, a francis barnet, a c15 beeza, a cb160 and a 500ajs combo and an enfield red hunter combo,I met my future missus when i was 17 and she wasn't interested in bikes, so passed car test instead.
Bought a honda tl125s in 1976 just to ride trials and I still have that today,its my next resto after the 250n.

No Nick, thats when i did it,a midlife crisis. Decided at 41 it was time i did it, so booked a 3 day course,took test in morning failed, a bloody white van stopped me getting into the correct lane at a mini roundabout. Got another test in the afternoon and passed. And yes it was on a sr 125 .  |

I did mine in 2000, on a Kawasaki ER5. Got my Honda CB500 two months later (there was a waiting list for them then), had the SD a a love gift in 2001, I am still riding around on the same old bikes now (how boring...)

I can`t remember what date it was without digging My driving licence out but I remember it was a Thursday

Just checked my licence - and I am mistaken. I passed on the 1st November, not October as previously stated.....I took a weeks intensive course starting on the Monday.
I think that date was a Saturday. I apologise for misleading everyone.

Took my test in the pre compulsory training days,23rd December 1970 it was bloomin freezing and I went wrong way down road so he missed me to do the emergency stop so I went round agin and I passed first time  |
