They are the best out there I think - very very customer focused....and sure there are problems from time to time.....but they work hard to keep a good reputation.
Did you know DPD took over the old Parceline in 2008? Apparently I can also call myself a French civil servant as they are owned by La Poste....great huh?

Is there anything left that is uk owned? its a strange world. It worries me at times how reliant we are on other countries, they only need to spit the dummy out and we would be buggered.

Bought a sym xs125 engine off eBay and the inlet manifold was different, so contacted guy and he sent it. The deliverly guy popped a note in the door.At back of car! Looked everywhere could not find it.Turn's out they had broke into the car sitting on the drive and put the small parcel in the boot. The car was being repaired at the time so did not look at it for three months lol. They have dropped parcels in the bin aswell! On the morning of collection! Just aswell one of the neighbours had seen it happen...

Cannot say too much about Royal Mail we have seen colleagues in trouble over stuff put on social media, but I will say we just seem to expensive for parcels & for a crazy reason at the very time of year when we need more space this was the van I was given for the whole Xmas period - it must be the smallest van available & I had to cram the Xmas parcels into it for my delivery each day over Xmas unbelievable really absolutely awful to deliver my delivery from as although I could just about fit my delivery in it I could not stack in any order so it added hours to my delivery time. Ps the rainbow is unrelated it was the only pic I had of this particular van, nice rainbow & I spent hours searching at the end of it but all I found was a old stained mattress

Misses got an email boxing day. She told them that's its all OK! We have recently been contacted by your recipient, Ian Cleasby , concerning parcel number 1065092252555586, to state that they have not received the parcel. We have investigated the delivery but have been unable to locate the parcel.
Please liaise with your recipient and then advise us which actions you wish to take going forward. As you are the sender of this parcel and the myHermes account holder, we are contractually obligated to discuss any claims or further actions with you.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Kind regards,

I have two bad experiences with My Hermes, both times they left signed for items outside the house in full view of people passing and posted a note through the door saying my parcel was left 'in the secure porch' I would post a picture of outside but its just the front of a house with two bins beside the front door, not covered or secure porch to be seen.
The first time I tied to contact them, no phone number or email, so I phoned Amazon to express my disappointment and they sent out another item via the Post Office.
The second time exactly the same scenario over a present for my daughter, again no contact details to let them know their lying toe rag of a driver lied. Wont use then if I ever need a parcel delivering.
DPD on the other hand gave me a tracking number which connected to their website which tracked the driver in real time, the kids had lots of fun seeing him driving up and down the local roads via the website waiting for the parcel and were even waiting for him when he turned up and videoed him making the drop off!!!

I had the same bunkum from Hermes daz, saying parcel left in secure porch, I haven't a porch either. It was just left on the doorstep in full view,it was supposed to be signed for but wasn't signed by my wife or me. Thankfully I've only had a couple of things delivered by them ,both not a good experience compared with the service you get from dpd.
