That's starting to take shape very nicely Nick. I also noticed even your wheelie bins are posh

Growing quite fond of this modern classic... Dave, quick question......has your choke ever given you any grief.....namely at the carb end? Looking like a dog with two d*cks before its MOT pass:

No Nick, I've never had any bother with the choke at all. Maybe just needs an oiling if it hasn't been used much recently.

Love the white wheels, nightmare to keep the back one clean though on my GSX-R.
What are those freckles on the frame just above the swingarm mount?

Typical poor finish found on the GS500E - even though she's done hardly any miles, she has picked this up from being put away wet a few times methinks and probably general damp storage over 21 years........have sorted it on the front end but I intend to get around to doing the frame when I remove the bodywork. No rush. Very easy to sort out, I have got the correct paint and lacquer for it. (Suzuki 13L).

I got to ride this one Dave I think (to work etc) - it's a fab little commuter (as you know)...
I kind of like the idea of being able to easily touch her up now and again......if you get what I mean.

Picked this up for 600 notes and finally took delivery yesterday. 14k on the clock, 3 owners and a stack of bills and old MOT's inc original bill of sale and service book. Very garish 1990's colour scheme - reminds me of a shell suit......but I like it on this bike. A keeper. NOS front mudguard already on its way to replace the visibly damaged one.

I like it FB - definitely worth getting the earlier Japanese made one like yours , mine was a Spanish made GS - not a good combination ! Bought a Moto Guzzi brand new from DC Butler , proper old school bike shop at the time .
