I need more pics Paul so I can see the ends under the cowl and how it clips in at the narrow end.
Qh, that seat is off a deluxe isn`t it? are you 100% certain the na had it?

Such a bastard..... He dropped this casually into the conversation over tea and cakes this afternoon Nick, "do you have the handbook clip on the seat of your na?" Why did he do it? I`ll not rest now until its sorted..... I'm curious as to what goes on at what I call the 'pentagon' in Brigg. What type of cake were you offered, Dave?

Digestive biscuits and other nice things Nick, to lull me into a false sense of security before dropping the bombshell.

You would certainly remember the ginger cake. Maybe he only retains this for his elitists of guests.....even though when I last visited, my wallet was thin....I guess I must have a handsome face.

The seat was off YJS and I was surprised it still had the clip TBH- I suspect the new owner will never even notice it. Yes the clip was standard on NA and NB according to Honda....

Dave - what problems were you having with your GS500E carbs?
Mine has a current issue whereby it will run but when it gets hot (and I mean hot) it cuts out. When trying to re-start it will feel hesitant from the throttle and then simply not tick over.
So far the fuel tap, air filter and plugs have been replaced. Also the choke is operating correctly - new genuine cable has been fitted and the cable is shutting off the choke (or so it looks). Upon removal, plugs look black - not the usual sandy colour - but then again not overly sooty.
