Well, after eating my way through a mountain of chicken, duck, pate, fois gras, salmon, oysters, baguettes, escargot etc. etc. etc., we did a little shopping on the way home from France. We spent in excess of 300 euro on goodies and delicious food which would be criminal to waste....SO.......
No abstinence in this household!!!!!
Nick - you are very welcome to pop in one evening and sample some confit des canard with haricot verts followed by tartiflette with cheese to follow, all washed down with a good Gaillac red..........
Yum!!!

It's one of those things I've never tried and never want to, same as tuna. Infact, apart from the gorgeous breads, cakes and pastries, French food is a picky affair.

I do love a nice duck.....and Tuna actually.
I am partial to most sea food although I don't do skin on fish - makes me gag.

Fungo tell the mrs from us that you are going to die if you keep eating like this,(watch out perhaps shes got an idea.....) i think we better send him a sort of forum lifeboat, with sausage et bacon sarnys, choccys and ice cream, perhaps with a radio controlled model car could be converted to bring "emergency" rations to you under the gate, will leave it up to you to sneak down stairs in the night to reception it at your peril, good luck, remember the colditz series .......
