Would someone please be able to tell me the size of the allen bolt socket needed to undo this part (within the forks) ?
51415-413-003
It's bigger than 12,mm so will either be 13, 14, 15 or 16mm I reckon.

14mm.
Use a bolt head and mole grips if you don't have a wrench

Great okay mate.
I tried a 12mm in there last night and it was too small - I've not got anything bigger atm in the garage so would like to get the correct socket at Halfrauds tomorrow.
Can anyone confirm for sure?

Nick - it isnt a SOCKET you need mate...it is a BOLT.
As Cheggy says use an M14 BOLT (upside down) with a pair of mole grips gripping the thread part.
Works a treat!!!

P.S - That's NOT a bolt.....it's a hex socket.....

Or am I on the wrong wavelength......? Doops.... Maybe, what we mean is to use the head of a regular bolt, grip the thread and use the head to unscrew the washer.

But if I simply go to Halfrauds and buy on of these hex drives in 14mm do you not agree that the job will be done?
I can't be bothered arsing around with mole grips and an old bolt to be honest, even though I'm sure it's a good suggestion....
