Used Vale Onslows often in early 70s for BSA/Triumph spares was always busy and the guys serving at spares counter were not well trained in customer service skills they were abrupt to point of being rude if you couldn't describe exactly what you needed they expected part numbers!!always preferred going to C&D Autos not far away for BSA parts

anyways went to them once, a cb750 ( from memory ) engine assembled from new spare parts!
and I ( we ) where not suprised when the bike shop in shrewsbury burnt down, heater chucking out loads of heat in the show room, with bikes all around with fuel in the tanks....the bloody paint was nearly blistering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
