Hi Paddlesat16. Really sorry to hear about you accident. Was it a wet road the that caused the slide? Obviously you welfare is most important, but I have to ask the question. Was your bike badly damaged? I remember when I dropped my SD 400, my first thought was for any damage to the new silencers, fortunately the bike had not a scratch. Hope your up and about soon. Mike.

Ah shit Bob!!! Not good mate......
Can you not just get a bigger right boot to slip over the cast to carry on riding the bike? You can always strap the crutch along the side of the bike!!!
(Dont ask me how I know about all this............a murky past......and it was on an SD too!!!)
Get well soon mate - and we will raised a glass of sheep's pee for you in Wales at the meet...

I don't know what caused the back end to skip out, it wasn't raining, I've been told it's mainly cosmetic damage to my Aprillia. I'll try and pick the bike up over the weekend with my bike trailer and some generous neighbor's.

Hi, sorry to hear about your accident, did you really break your ankle or just sprain and bruise it? What speed were you doing? Was it just the weight of the bike falling on your ankle that done the damage? Was the Aprial , an Aprila Pegaso ? I had been thinking of getting crash bars for my SD 400n, would crash bars have been of any help to you in this case?
Hope you don't mind all the questions !
