So i heard on the radio this morning that 'back in the 80's' (well before i was born..) there was many sub-cultures in music and one of them was a heavy or heavies? And he described these 'heavies' to own a 250 superdream and listen to the likes of deep purple, black sabbath, motorhead etc which is right up my street! But looking through the 80s music and videos section there is a lot of embarrassing videos and songs far from hard rock?!
Now i say 'embarrassing' but i am a young (24) rocker and my dad insists it 'was different back then' and it was ok to like that stuff?
So what do you lot listen to now and has it changed from back in the day?

Anyone who rode a Superdream in the eighties was deemed un-cool - but how times have changed, eh? It's now one of the coolest bikes on the planet. Re: the music - unsure of that genre - some of these (older) farts will have heard of it, I'm sure.. I was born in '74 so was still technically filling nappies - late developer.

Some people will always hate them......it's because they were absolutely everywhere at one time........and the fact the 250 was porky and slow compared to other 250's of the time.
I don't like the word porky.........I prefer 'well engineered and solidly built - to last'.
The motorcycling journalism of the time didn't help either - they really had it in for our humble SD.......

I was born in 74 and now listen to everything from the 60s onwards. It's weird that the fast music that I listened to in my teens now seems slower and the slow bikes I rode in my teens now seem faster... My appreciation of old music seems to be expanding as I have just bought a 1920s HMV wind up gramaphone and I think it's the coolest bit of technology ever made.

My first claim to fame with a superdream was when I was 15 and a guy I used to do cars up with thought it was a good idea for me to look after it when he went away on his holiday well let's just say I recon I enjoyed myself more lol. Then when I was 16 my mate had one I was often on the back of it why I don't know cause he used to screw the shit out of it and frighten the crap out of me he made that engine dance and it never broke down both were 250's boy they were the days no worries just fun 80s fun
