No, it took a while to decide but i thought i should get mine finished and mot and have a few rides out on it before i decide, i might get out on it and decide i never wanna sell it lol remember this is my first bike and will be my first ride without an instructor so that might be enough to make me keep the superdream! Ive just fell out with her recently but im sure il fall back in love when shes running right

Sam - I will be brutally honest and suggest you hang on to the SD for a year and gain some riding experience.
These bikes really were the ideal machines in their day for inexperienced riders to cut their teeth on - hence why so many were sold.
After 12 months or so, you will know far more about your riding and what sort of bike you would like to trade up to. The SD is a perfectly capable machine for all sorts of riding: commuting, weekend ride-outs, touring...yes, even touring!!! Me and a mate toured Europe for two weeks on ours. OK, we didnt break speed records on the Autobahn, but then, the back roads are far more fun.....as we shall find out next year on our FIFA run to the Vosges in eastern France!!!!
Keep her for a while yet - you wont get any cheaper motorcycling!!! Save the pennies for a year and see how you feel in 12 months...

Not fussy then..........
Now, if it was a Series I XJ6........in Sable........that would be a different kettle of fish!!!! One of Mr Lyon's finest creations.........
In fact, it would be the perfect car to park outside the front door of Fungo Towers...

Yes unfortunately i got rid of superdream to get the XJ6. I do miss the superdream but i dont miss praying everytime i come to ride it! The xj6 is a great starter bike, really comfy and easy to ride and again you can do any type of riding on it.
Im really pleased with my decision but i will always have a soft spot for my superdream as it was my first bike and it was beautiful!!

The main thing is that you are happy with the bike mate and we respect that.
How you finding the XJ6? I bet it's on a parr with my Bandit....quite fast compared to a classic and needing to have your wits about you at every junction.

Im loving the xj6, i done my lessons on a mk2 bandit and they are very similar performance wise really. I think the xj6 is better at low speeds in high gears like around town and such but acceleration id say pretty similar (although i can give it alot more now im not on my lessons!) Its a great bike though, really light and comfortable which is what i wanted in my first bike, Just need to get some weekend trips planned

Enjoy it.... To think, in 2044 you may be restoring it.
