i am trying to find a thread i am sure i saw on here yesterday about cdi units and what codes fit what bikes, but for the life of me i cannot find it today! pulling_your_hair_out-875basically i need to know what my 250n should have stamped on the metal case. Also are these parts interchangeable between 250 and 400? (i would not have thought so but thought i should ask)

Jon.....further to the info Cheggs gave you and from a cosmetical point of view, these two pics may also help you and others - these units are not interchangeable. Nippondenso CDI unit (CB250N):  Hitachi CDI unit (CB400N):  |

Thanks FB i have on my 400 a "c" cdi and from somewhere i have also got an "a" cdi i seem to recall that the "a" model was a bit dodgy is that correct?

I believe the A stamped item can be troublesome. I've experienced 3 duff units for the 400, all stamped with the A. I'll also upload a link later which possibly backs up this suggestion.  |
