Thud is a nice guy and he has responded to my email.
I now have pictures of SBY 491W in its current state. I will upload them onto here if it is okay with him.
Thud is looking to sell the bike to a good home - I'm considering it but have explained I'm not really in buying mode right now which is a shame.

Ooer missus, I had no idea . You'd have to really want it, I would struggle to justify what I spent on NNR now. Financial priorities change over time my boys are growing up and getting more expensive NNR is a luxury I could Ill afford now. That said I have absolutely no regrets and I've (nearly) created something that'll last another thirty years (it'll probably see me out) only you know if you could justify say £2.5-£3 k to do a minter because I know you wouldn't settle for anything less.
Maybe just buy her back and throw a tarpaulin over her for a few years and think again. At least you'll have the option..

If I found any of my old bikes I would buy them whatever the condition. Never happened yet, unfortunately.....
Frightening difference in condition of this particular bike though- and it needs to go to "a good home"? Gotta be better than the last one!
Maybe the funds from a quick sale of YHV could be put towards the resto of this one?......
