I wish I could keep them all, Cheggs......
Thud agreed to sell me this back at a very reasonable price and for that I am very grateful to him.
Without doubt it will need a full strip down and rebuild.......but as money is tight right now, I will throw a tarpaulin over her until I can afford the works.
That said, doing little bits and odds and sods to it will cost me nothing to begin with - I have a garage full of paints etc and SD spares.
The first thing will be to get her running again. I hope it's just the CDI or something similar...

Nice one Nick. Two things occur to me about this if the time is not right, grease it up and just bury it at the back of your storage unit for a while (it's not a race) and two is I hope you have not sold any part on ebay that you are now going to need for SBY.

The deal is done..... All being well she'll finally be home, Sunday dinner..... What am I letting myself in for? Well done mate, just chill. Stick her in the back of the garage all safe and sound. You're in an exclusive club now you have the old girl back home. That is a great feeling just do bits and bobs as and when, even if it takes 5 years where's the rush? Great result, you've pined after this one for sometime now, a brilliant result!

Yeah mate, don't try too hard, they can spot it a mile away. Remember, you never get a second chance to make a first impression..

No mate........I could never replace YHV. That bike is in a different league to the condition SBY is in right now. To get SBY up to that standard will take me a decade.......well, you'll see.....one day I may come close but there will be no rush.....and finances wont allow for it for the foreseeable anyway. P'S - Why'd you buy that tank?

I think it's great you have a 400 back in the fleet- every collector should have one of each. And SBY has the emotional attachment. Not sure I could keep starting over on bringing them back up to a good standard though! PS I just needed to break my bad run of luck on tanks.... But I need something for FWF as I just cannot fit this after looking long and hard- FWF is the all weather 400 rider....

My gosh that tank is gorgeous....What are you going to do with it then?
I owe you for the sprocket still.....so if you just bung me the postage, the tank is yours mate if you agree?
You have been quiet of late. What happened to the red 250? Did you get it?
Finally re:400....
My favourite looking 400 was always the silver kicker. Harsh times called for harsh measures. My only attachment to SBY is the past......and of course it is great to have this special 400 Superdream in the fleet again - I only wish she had found me again in better nick. But I'm fortunate Thud sold it to me at a price I could afford right now.

I think this blue tank is eventually destined for the Time Capsule. Red to blue. Your tank with the dent will go on FWF- I just cannot live with the incorrect blue it currently wears. Need your paint guy on it first though. Quiet? Long story... The red 250? Oh my goodness the red 250. Object of beauty and the nearest I have ever seen to what would have been in the Honda showroom in 1979... I really hope the hard times for you end soon.

Red gorgeous 250.............when will we be updated................secret squirrel or what ?
Between you and me.......SBY will be coming to the premises under a vale of darkness........delivery note says 'spares only for destruction or ebay profit' - it is the only way I can get around getting another bike into here at the moment - be it worth 1p or 1 million squids......but spares to her may be a different ball game......a risk I grant you but one I have decided to take.
You've met Mrs Fungo.....trust her......trust no one.......this message will self destruct........you've not seen me Paul.....right?

Being ridden to you or trucked?
Is Mrs Fungo about or have you sent her 'shopping'?
