Pete Dave and I went to Blades in s.o.a, they had demo bikes outside including the street an scrambler. If your on the balls of your feet on the street like I was too, the scrambler is taller I was on tip toes. Iām sure bp will remark upon my height š. Iām glad your pleased with it Ian it is a smart looking bike š. Hope to see you and Gill later this year. We hope to be over for the Derbyshire run this year, We'll have to keep an eye on the ferry prices as it's not long before TT, but it looks ok so far. If we do make it, I'll be on the Triumph or the Hunter - can do without the worry of something going wrong with the SD, although I'd probably have more chance of fixing it than the Triumph or RE

I thought I would put my tuppence in regarding the new 400 Triumphs. Rona and I finally made it over to Hillington in Glasgow and after shopping for a new bathroom suite, I was allowed a perusal round the new Triumph showroom. Very nice it was. Anyway, sat on two bikes, both very comfortable but the scrambler more so, especially for a tall chappie. Could have had a test ride but wasn't buying so didn't waste the fellas time.. Gee.

You're lucky Gee, it was a bit too high for me. Probably for the best though, I'd have struggled with which one to go for, the Street or the Scrambler if they were both the same height.

I think you are the forum pioneer Ian, first with an Interceptor, first I think with the Hunter and now first with the Triumph which seems to be stirring more and more interest

I remember mentioning (very quietly) to CTB at one of the stops that nothing had fallen off any of the superdreams...

I must nip down to Triumph World and have a look at the 400 Triumphs, I must say the Hunter 350 looks , goes and sounds well enough for me so the Enfields a keeper sat beside my SD 250 in my shed quite happily

I think you are the forum pioneer Ian, first with an Interceptor, first I think with the Hunter and now first with the Triumph which seems to be stirring more and more interest All part of the ageing process Pete, I'd still have the Interceptor but after a succession of health issues it was just getting a bit much for me, I'd looked at a couple of smaller bikes like the MT03 & Duke 390 - I wanted a modern bike for trips away and the Interceptor fitted that slot but it's the style of bike I've always had & to move to something like the Duke just didn't appeal. Along came the Hunter - nothing like the power of the MT03 and such, but it's got the look, so I bought one; Then the Triumph appears - the performance of the Interceptor and the retro look I love. Having said that, I've got used to the performance of the Hunter and, like Paul it's all I need so the Hunter is definitely a keeper
