Hello,
Just joined as a new member.
Have been motorcycling for well over 30 years and been through many machines.
Currently looking for a SD 400 to restore, probably one with a kickstart.
I will I'm sure learn lots of things to help me on this forum...

Many thanks all. Looking forward to the challenge. My last restoration was a Triumph 21 (350cc twin) in 1986. But I now have a double garage, so it would be a shame to waste it :-)

Hi John good luck with your quest.I bought a 400 about 4 years ago the original engine was a kickstart but the guy who I bought it from had changed the bottom half of the engine so I am in the process of restoration but its all very slow.Mike.
