I had a cb200 for a short while , never got to ride it, did a tidy up job in my dad,s greenhouse in 1982 I know it was 82 as I had a job offer as i was tinkering with it and I,ve worked for the same company since šš

That's a long time with one company
I did 19 1/2 years with Thresher but I take my hat off to you staying with one employer all that time

It,s scary britpete how fast the time as just flown by, I used to do a lot of driving round the peak district with work I think kept me interested ....

I've done 31 years on Royal Mail & as a token of there appreciation they gave me Ā£100 in Argos vouchers! (30 years service)
They came in handy but I do think it's a bit on the stingy side :/

I did 20 1/2 years with one employer and all I ever got from them was a hot cross bun every Good Friday,why I never knew  had another 17 jobs since them and only three of them ever gave me any thing,Ā£250 when I āretiredā/made redundant.Bottle wine,and a Xmas hamper.Happily retired and glad I donāt have to bother anymore these days |

I've been with Tesco for 29 years this May another 4 and a half to do and I don't think i'll miss them one bit |

After a totally shite day at work, I really do envy those of you that have retired or those who are not far off from it.
I can only hope that when I am in that position, I will still have the health to enjoy my bikes.

After a totally shite day at work, I really do envy those of you that have retired or those who are not far off from it. I can only hope that when I am in that position, I will still have the health to enjoy my bikes. My biggest phobia is dropping dead at work before i get the chance to retire ,that would really piss on my bonfire |

That happened to a good friend of mine aged 67 in 2016 and only this week same happened to one of his colleagues at only 27 years old! I make most of every day doing something with my wife/friends and family and mates on bikes,donāt sit at home festering watching TV lol.

Theres a couple gone this last two months only 60 and I've known them both for a lot of years ,sad ,very sad
