Yep , I've had the 350 and 500 Bullets before , I lost interest when they came up with the new "unit" engine , mine were well behaved despite me sometimes giving them a hard time as per my old avatar ! The dealer had the new 650s in as pre production samples and I was impressed by the quality , if they keep that up for the production versions I can see them selling well .

Bought my Bullet 500 cheap from a classic bike hire business during foot and mouth disease restrictions, needed tidying up and I stuck Amal/Boyer/better exhaust on and it performed well but it wasn’t a “proper” classic so I traded it for my first Velo making a £450 profit!!

Early days yet Terry but mostly good so far , you'd miss the overtaking capability of your 400 I'd suspect ? I'm still running in around 50-55 mph and it does that very happily , nice torquey feel to it and very smooth for a single IMO . In fact it's not much like a RE of old , the gearchange is on the left, five speed , changes gear nicely etc , brakes do not feel as if they needed ABS but perhaps will improve as they wear in , suspension working well. Fuel gauge has a mind of it's own so have asked for that to be looked at when it's got its first service . It's got very muddy on my local small roads but that's what I got it for . I'm told that Ride magazine have a test of it this month , not seen it myself so don't know if its good or bad ! Get a test ride and it'll give you a good idea

reading this thread was getting me thinking that it was possible, , so I have changed the oil and filter, pumped the tyres up and its cold but dry....only to come home after work to find that the roads have been gritted again...feeling deflated now.
