Well rained most of the night here but on the way home noticed it was bone dry on the roads blowing gale force winds all day so fired my blade up for first time in 3 months and road of to Daves to check my SD was ok there were even a few shadows because the SUN was out! well she was where I left here the other day have arranged to go in tomora after work and fit new tank and carbs with Paul so maybe more pics tomora! And when I was dropping of the SD the other day I spotted a one owner 6k miles Honda melody She hadn't run for years so was in need of a once over and when I got there today she was done ! free pic hosting sitesquick picture uploadhasnt she come up lovely and all original and not a mark on her brilliant! when home I fitted a new plate on the blade with the correct dealer info that was on the Honda dealers plates when the blade was sold in 98 nothing fancy just the basics we tracked an original plate down in Laxey it was on a one owner cb125

That blade looks stunning Chris I bet you were grinning riding that today even if a little windy, I have had 1 ride on mine last Sunday as it was dry 100 mile round trip dry roads but really cold but it was good to run it & get a bit of fresh fuel into it

Someone offered me a tidy GPZ500 today.... How's Ian & Gill's? Going fine Nick, Gill love's it. We keep thinking of trying to find a nicer low mileage model to replace it, but that would probably mean a later version. Her's is a '93 with 16" wheels, the later ones were 17". Doesn't sound much, but when you're 5' 2" every inch counts!

I saw the Melody when I was up at EvoMoto the other day, it was lovely. I was amazed how well the original paint had lasted. There can't be many left now, bikes like that had a hard life & weren't cared for.

My issue is that I really like the idea of riding a bike not necessarily all year round but at least in the spring and autumn to work......trouble is, I always seem to fall into the same trap, this was the intention for my Irish CBR but it has kind of got just that bit nice now. Really tempted by a GPZ as a commuter at some point. So you recommend them then?
