Someone offered me a tidy GPZ500 today.... How's Ian & Gill's? Going fine Nick, Gill love's it. We keep thinking of trying to find a nicer low mileage model to replace it, but that would probably mean a later version. Her's is a '93 with 16" wheels, the later ones were 17". Doesn't sound much, but when you're 5' 2" every inch counts! Believe the image hosting thingy is not available temporarily

Cheers Ian.....the one I was offered today was a 2000 model - didn't see it but sounded nice with only 9k on the clock, blue one. My issue is that I really like the idea of riding a bike not necessarily all year round but at least in the spring and autumn to work......trouble is, I always seem to fall into the same trap, this was the intention for my Irish CBR but it has kind of got just that bit nice now. Really tempted by a GPZ as a commuter at some point. So you recommend them then? Have to confess, I prefer my CB500R to ride, but I they are a bit bland to look at, and you certainly can't say that about the GPZ. IIrc, I think MCN put the GPZ top of of it's 500 test above the CB & GS. Kwacker has as good a reputation for reliability as the CB as well - perfect for your requirements!

That's exactly what my garden needs Dave, more slabs to park my bikes on, I'll feel a bit of Garden SOS diy coming on

My stepson sold his VFR400 & RGV250 & Aprilia RS250 last year,he rides a BMW and he’s only 47 lol.Riding a Sportsbike would not be advisable these days after so long as my reactions have slowed down too,Think you have to ride often to keep them so I’ll stick with what I’ve got now

I am a bit of a beemer fan, I have a K1200GT which I ride every day, all year round, a K100 that was my last Project and I'm in the process of building a K100 with the 1200 engine in it but that's another story for another time.
Why am I here? Mainly because I like reading the posts you guys do, it's a good forum, oh yer, and I'm building a 250 Superdream for 'erindoors

I find myself strangely attracted to the K series Beemers, maybe ‘cause they seem a lot of Bike for little money.I have a R80/7 but don’t ride it much. I like the Buels always fancied one, still got my Softail but find myself choosing the Burgman for most riding these days.
