FB sours the world - anything useful or notable he will post on here if he’s not buying it Just having a bit of light hearted tease...I have no doubt he is a decent bloke, totataly dedicated to these, and his own, bikes. In fact an expert wouldnt be fare off the mark...but dont let him know these things, if for no other reason he will have no chance of getting his head into that new helmet luckily got 4 xmas I recon one of the ultimate accolades would be getting an invitation to a tour of FBs NOS warehouse - saying that would probably be required to be blindfolded getting there so the location remains a secret

That CB250RS looks very tidy, Ian. As is often the case, the photos are a bit flattering. There's a bit of rust on the frame & swing arm & a few scratches on the tank, but no dents. As you said, it sems to be mostly original apart from the motad. Should just be a case of puling it apart over winter, get the frame blasted & painted, the put it back together with a bit of cleaning & touching up. Classic Bike Shop, that do the SD silencers also do the for the RS, but not the headers, but that might change. www.classicbikeshop.co.uk/silencers/honda-suzuki-yamaha.html

I told Dave about them Ian I don't know why they just do the down pipes because the Honda item is one piece but I suppose there are lots of after market exhausts that you can fit to those down pipes ps there is a left hand pipe on eBay in japan

Yes Terry, that's them. Bodie pointed it out too. I'd just looked at the header page & assumed they were for an RS250 If I'd known anything about RS250s, I would have realised that wasn't right So, looks like the whole system is available Edit: I've just been told a handlebar fairing is a higher priority than a dual exhaust.

That's a pity, I had my 'once' along time ago! Still, I'll add it to my spending list, but a twin system for the 250 is top of that list - I've no exhaust system at all for that now. Exhaust Collector box £82.80 Headers £58.80 Silencers £99.95 clamps £28.00 gaskets £38.04
£279.59
Engine rebuild £?

I was going for the Mikalor W2 clamps as recommended by Crouchy. The ones I have in my watch list don't post to the Island even though they use Royal Mail 2nd class which would cost the same as posting next door There's plenty other's on ebay though, whose sellers know what they are doing.

I do get a bad press on this it seems and with regards to SD parts, I'm not searching anywhere near like I used to back in the day as my SD's now don't need it......and I have nowhere near a warehouse sized NOS arena - it's more like a frigging larder - pure fantasy. I could name at least two people on here who are extremely quick and snatch things like ferrets up drain pipes of late - but fair play. If you snooze you lose. If you are serious about your bike, at least put some g.d effort in.....no one is going to do it for you. I'm also in this for the passion - not the profit.
