Titanium nuts bolts for my nc30 if I still had it, but why a superdream.if bapp bolts our toolstation do not supply I will make myself .the only time a bike I factory fresh is when you pick them up brand new .enjoy them for what they are ,thay are motorcycles not model kits.but do not take no notice of me just coming down from a all dayer in Los america, now with two grandkids high on suger while there parents are on a all nighter.

Luvvly! Howcome this motor looks great with it's polished bits, but this superdream looks not so good, Ignoring the red paint obviously. Oddly, to me the SD just looks "overdone" for an otherwise standard machine, and I'm a fully paid-up magpie.

its standard Honda everthing on this bike is as intended by Mr Honda and SD motors did not have shinny bits ps this bike has just clocked up 1,136 miles

Thanks for the photos Bodie that 400/4 is stunning. The bling is mainly chrome as you say like mr Honda intended. Over restoration is a tough one as it comes close to custom. I love to see alloy highly polished, but I do admit it doesn’t always work. I’m currently rebuilding a 400nc, I have resprayed the wheels gold then decided to polish the rims, I have done one side of the front wheel and I’m not sure the polished rim suits gold wheels. Obviously it’s not standard more custom or over restored. Not sure if I will finish the wheels now 🤔

for me restoring is doing the work yourself not replacing with all new bits that is just replacing and anybody can do that
i would much rather a person try to fix something if he gets it wrong have another go

After many hours over the weekend and some more tonight I’ve finished one side of one wheel 😥 not sure it’s worth the effort to do the other side and the back wheel 😂 upload free

CM wheels have a similar effect Carl, but satin black rather than gold. I like the effect with the polished rims on both the black & gold. I've reclaimed my 250NB from Gill, and jacked it back up again, but retained the CM wheels 'cos I like 'em - so go on, persevere with yours, it looks great!

I do like the CM wheels, I like the CM variant of the superdream too, I nearly got one in the spring this year. This is were I ponder, on over restoring or customisation, I have a 400nc,400n,250n and 250nb to restore all four bikes have good pedigree, I also have 3 mongrels/bitzas (250na and 2 x 250nb’s). The mongrels I really look forward too, as I’m going to overrestore/customise them. The first one I plan to have gloss powder coated wheels with a polished rim and the paintwork will be ford st orange or repsol orange with black and grey decals as found on the blue nb. Question to be asked. Is that idea a custom job or over restoration 🤔.
