What made the Deluxe a Deluxe ? What is the difference between a non deluxe and a deluxe?

My understanding is that a deluxe was simply a deluxe by adding deluxe decals and spraying one's comstars deluxe black. |

As already said the Deluxe and not the non Deluxe had Deluxe decals on it,but didn't the Deluxe and not the non Deluxe also have a Deluxe seat on it ie "ducks tail"

Here's a nice looking original deluxe....in that 'all beating' silver colour....the best and fastest Superdream colour IMHO.  |

Complete with dulux black wheels.. Regrettably the heavy lead in the black paint no doubt holds back the original silver bird.......but only a loss of around 62 BHP at max. But in order to counteract this, the third afterburner can be activated......then soon these defects in performance are extinguished. |

CB250NB to CB250NDB
Tubeless MT2.15 wheel rims. on black reverse comstar wheels (rather than tube rims MT 1.85 )
Deluxe decals (as stated above)
Minor engine changes eg. cam guide no longer captive
additionally CB250N/NA to CB250NDB
Tank shape change
Seat shape change & Fish Tail seat cowl
Fork internal design changes, teflon coated slider bushes in fork bottom cases & stanchion ends. (drain bolts on fork bottoms)
Clock style (with red)
Master cylinder now two screw type (rather than 4 screw)
One of the front engine mounting bolt changed from 10mm to 8mm.

your right they are faster than the black but red and blue you would have to pedal a lot faster to keep up with

A more scientific explanation for the misguided 'silver is faster' owners was offered to me on another forum. That Silver colour is actually only a primer for the other much more vibrant colours and they were never finished off when the Red, Blue and Black paint ran out. Mr Honda didn't want to spend any more buying more paint so they stuck the decals on and told dealers to spread the rumour that they were faster because they weighed less ( less coats of paint see?)
