A more scientific explanation for the misguided 'silver is faster' owners was offered to me on another forum. That Silver colour is actually only a primer for the other much more vibrant colours and they were never finished off when the Red, Blue and Black paint ran out. Mr Honda didn't want to spend any more buying more paint so they stuck the decals on and told dealers to spread the rumour that they were faster because they weighed less ( less coats of paint see?) not it sure it's true, but it's plausible......😎😎😎😎😎 Now you've offended me terribly. I'm going to hold a grudge against you from now until the cows come home.

My silver deluxe is so nippy today I nearly took an x7 Suzi on my commute to work , ran out of road else I,d have took her , I think the rust loss on my bike aids the silver spec 😂

As NB the chain and sprocket kit is 15/41 but is a 520 O-Ring type, (rather than 530).
The pres nature decal behind the tank cap (as NB) changed.

Thanks, that makes sense.
I have seen 11 and 12000 rpm on cb250n and deluxe (still a 10000 red line) they must have just used both types.
