Well what can I say ?! - makes coming home to the cold all worthwhile .. well sort of  , thanks very much chaps I will treasure this moment  And I'd like to make a very special mention of FB without whom I would not be in the position I am today ...with a very full garage ! Having bought the two bikes with the old stylee V5 log books I sent them off to DVLA all filled in with SORN declarations , got back this evening to find a nice new V5C for 442 but nothing for BBC......  , went onto the DVLA site and they had taken no notice of the SORN declarations I'd sent . So now with the new V5C for 442 I "declared SORN" , I then got a threatening message along the lines of " this bike has not been taxed since 1990 and the DVLA Stasi may well be in touch later "  . Oh the joys of being back in the UK ! Now I'm back I'll update my thread with my slothlike progress on the bikes and DVLAs next move but I have two cars that run out of MOT /Tax this month so may get diverted  |

They are a bit dumb. Can you imagine paying 25 years back duty? Don't worry Boje - if Tel can avoid being caught then so can you. Just hide behind the sofa when they darken your door.....they'll soon go away. Welcome home. |

Thanks , as you say FB 25 years worth of tax but as I only took possesion last month not my problem - just got to get DVLA to see that ! Shame we have not got that 25 year rolling exemption on raod tax .... |

I do not like the dvla, they are stupid people who have no thoughts for the common vehicle owner, i sent away a log book asking to change the frame number on one of my superdreams as the original had rusted though. They first asked me for frame rubbings last august which i duly sent to them. In october they sent me a letter asking for photos of the same so they could clear up this matter, to which i sent off what they required. On christmas eve i recieved a letter stating that they did not think it should be granted and that the bike would have to be a Q reg (happy fu**ing crimbo!) i was so pissed off with their generosity at crimbo time i have sold all but one of my sd's and am thinking of giving up all my bikes! they have stung me before by charging me 30 squids for apparently not sending back a log book! it was sent but i had no leg to stand on, i even went down to the dvla in swansea to query the point but no one would see me, the receptionist basically saying "see you in court" I personally hope they have the same problems as i have!...........bunch of bast****!
