Has anyone used quality chroming in Hull? I have a couple of things to do, but I don't want to wait for 4 months like I had to with my last chromers.

Who were your last chromers- not the outfit on Pock Industrial Estate? I have heard good and bad about Quality Chrome, but not used them myself......

I used them for a couple of bits a few years ago. Work was good and price was fair.

Hi Don,t recall how long but went on holiday in between 3 or 4 weeks probably
Good job used them for a CX500 I had and recently a few bits for my Honda Benley, I guess it's down to how busy they are.

I think it is a case that they do not want to chrome one or two parts they want bulk, my chromer forgot my part and felt obliged to do it for nothing after i waited four months for one item (fuel cap for my 400/4) and to be honest he made a good job of it! but four months? he also wanted 100 squids to re-chrome a front mudguard which is pointless coz d silvers can relieve you of 100 for a brand new one! One option is that we pool together for mass chroming but that would have quality problems with donor parts supplied.

You are probably right jb,I took all the chromeware off my sd and to be fair the told me the lead in time was 12 weeks ish, which ended up around 18 weeks, but as I wasn`t in a rush I wasn`t to bothered. if it had been zinc plating it would only have been 7-10 days|
But now is different, as I`m getting nearer to putting it on the road I don`t want to wait so long.
my chromer charged me £70 for the front mudguard and ten threaded rivets to put it back together with.
