Have you considered using Agbrigg up in Leeds?
I used them a few months ago and was very impressed. Very quick turnaround as well.....Scott has also used him. (Sean).

Yes he was - but what impressed me was what he did for Soctt.....so I gave him a go. Great job, friendly guy and quick. I had a pair of handlebars and a heat shield done. There are also some decent rechromers around Brum. Sadly Creswell (who I used many a time some years back) just went pop one day - pulled up outside and the place was boarded.......

Just found where they are on google maps,he is about 5 min from my son's house. Yes I remember the stuff he did for Scott, it looked a very decent job. I,m going to phone him tomorrow, see what he'll charge for a pair of grabrails and a headlight bezel. If his price is OK I'll take them through on Wednesday.

Contacted Sean at agbrigg today, seems a decent bloke, going through with my bits tomorrow morning to see what he can do. I`m taking a pair of fvq shocks that are in good nick to see if he can do them as well as the grab rails and the headlight bezel

All of them Johnny, see what he thinks about doing them, the hard chrome on the rod is very good so hopefully he'll be able to do the rest

Just a word of caution - springs can be an issue - a lot of chromers have a job polishing them on the insides thus they will appear pitted white on the insides - it may bother you it may not - I am sure Sean will advise.
What's more, I'm not sure they are chrome on the SD - I believe it is another kind of brightwork.

They weren't a high shine finish anyway when new?

No I agree - much like the brake pedal.

Yes ,I have my doubts whether it will be successful or not,I wouldn't be happy with the insides not being right,I would sooner leave them on the shelf.

I have a pair of those £50 Copies on now, they don't look so bad but the finish on the springs is a bit rough.

I wonder if they could re do those for you? In like a smoother finish?
Probably a better bet?
