while we are talking about the clamp mine and Ian's mate dave is wanting one for his 78 400 reso if any one could help us that would be brilliant A 78? Is he doing a factory job on this bike? If so, it's worth him bearing in mind these were 1980 onwards (NA). i thought the year would be enough of a clue to all us superdreamers Dave spent all is youth putting SD's together when he worked in a big Honda dealership and he would come in in the morning and there could be 20-30 lined up for service and repairs.

Is that heat damage Nick or did it get that damage being trapped ? Hi Rich I ran the bike last weekend without realising the failed part was languishing under the bike. Hence the clutch cable was making direct contact with the R/H header pipe as it got lovely and warm. When I think back, I thought I smelt something unusual but dismissed it as I did actually break wind, so put it down to that.
