A great example of why you should keep as many spares as you can to keep your classic in fine fettle. Tonight I randomly noticed this under the deluxe. Why and how it happened I do not know......but luckily I do have a nos spare.

That's a shame , maybe just age catching up with a stressed bit of plastic and it flew off in the middle of the night ?!

I see our friend superdream_parts is flooding eBay with a pattern replacement for this item...... they are crap as well Paul they have not got the locating pin that goes into the frame I had one on and every time you pulled the clutch in it twisted around so I cleaned the original one up and fitted it back on

at one time a favorite trick used to be running spare cables along side ones on bike clutch,throttle,brake, you never knew when they would snap

In fact, my locating tab was hit and miss on the one that was found to commit suicide this weekend.....you can probably just make out a dab of old glue on the part. The new one I had in my spares luckily has the locater so although it's not in any packaging, it does appear to be a genuine one.
