never heard of them so just rang the old man and he says he and his mates tried them and were crap unless you were on full throttle all the time which in the 60's was probably a lot easier than in todays traffic

hello dave they were not made for road use full throttle only ,not pressure fed and caught fire a lot .bosch was the founder of this system of fueling in 1896 i think he put more into the development of fuel injection.
